Nutritional Development Services

Nutritional Development Services provides food and related technical assistance to other organizations supplying food to individuals and families, in particular the poor and most especially children in need. NDS works with a variety of governmental entities and community groups to improve individual and community access to food, to enhance food resources, and to improve knowledge about healthy nutrition and diet. NDS administers the National School Lunch Program, the Child and Adult Care Food Program, and the Summer Food Service Program for Children. Food and technical assistance are also provided to local organizations that serve needy adults, families and children through food cupboards, soup kitchens, and shelters. Through this dynamic partnership with others concerned about poverty-related hunger, NDS enables miracle of multiplying the loaves and fishes to feed a multitude to be continually realized in our day.
